What to expect
As the Huntsville Dance Community’s Free Day of Dance enters its third year, we’re celebrating even bigger growth, deeper community connection, and another unforgettable weekend of movement.
Join us Friday, September 18, 2026 for an exciting evening of performances featuring local dancers, followed by a high-energy after-party where the community comes together on the dance floor.
Then on Saturday, September 19, experience a full day of completely free dance classes in celebration of National Dance Day.
Free Day of Dance celebrates the incredible variety of movement within the Huntsville dance community, bringing together everything from Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Pole to cultural and social dance styles like Salsa, Lindy Hop, Bollywood, Folk Dance, and more.
With classes taught by passionate local instructors, attendees will have the chance to explore new styles, connect with different dance communities, and experience the diversity that makes Huntsville’s dance scene so special.
Whether you’re stepping into your first class or you’ve been dancing for years, this event is designed to welcome dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
What started as a vision to connect adult dancers across Huntsville has continued to grow year after year into something truly special — a space to move, learn, collaborate, and celebrate the diversity of dance in our community.

The Orion Amphitheater
The Orion is an 8,000-capacity destination venue that marks a bold new chapter in the Southeast’s unparalleled musical history. Mill Kat Healing Arts Collective is home to independent practitioners of the healing arts. MKHA offers Massage Therapy, Yoga, Dance and more! Our goal is to serve the community while supporting each other. Some of our practitioners offer donation based and sliding scale services, to make the healing arts available to a wider range of clients. Our collective goal is to provide excellent service to all of our clients and to make movement accessible to every body.
